A 6 ton boiler is an industrial steam boiler designed to produce 6,000 kg of steam per hour (6 TPH), equivalent to approximately 4.2 MW of thermal capacity. Depending on fuel type, boiler structure, and working pressure, the reference 2026 EXW price ranges from approximately USD 38,000 to 115,000 for WNS and SZS gas/oil-fired boilers and DZL and SZL coal/biomass-fired boilers.
A 6 ton steam boiler offers a flexible capacity range for factories that have outgrown smaller packaged boilers but do not yet require a large centralized steam station. At 6 TPH, customers can choose from WNS, SZS, DZL, and SZL designs according to fuel availability, operating pattern, and steam pressure. Gas/oil-fired systems prioritize automation and clean operation, while coal/biomass systems can reduce fuel costs where solid fuels are economical. SZS and SZL configurations can also meet higher-pressure requirements up to 2.5 MPa.

Note: 1、All projections are theoretical estimates assuming constant fuel prices. Fuel calorific values and efficiencies are expressed on an LHV basis (Natural Gas: 8,500 kcal/m³ | Biomass: 4,000 kcal/kg | Bituminous Coal: 5,000 kcal/kg). 2、Thermal efficiencies are standardized baseline values for comparison only; actual performance varies with fuel quality, moisture content, and operating conditions. 3、For condensing natural gas boilers, efficiencies above 100% reflect LHV-based latent heat recovery. 4、Extra operating costs such as electricity, water, labor, and maintenance are excluded. 5、Intermediate calculations use full precision; displayed figures are rounded. |

The reference 2026 EXW price of a 6 ton steam boiler:
6 ton gas/oil fired steam boiler (WNS): USD 38,000 – 62,000
6 ton gas/oil fired steam boiler (SZS): USD 58,000 – 95,000
6 ton coal/biomass fired steam boiler (DZL): USD 52,000 – 85,000
6 ton coal/biomass fired steam boiler (SZL): USD 72,000 – 115,000
The final price depends on working pressure, fuel system, burner selection, auxiliary equipment, and project requirements.
At an LHV of around 8,500 kcal/Nm³, a 6 ton boiler consumes about 450–470 Nm³/h at full capacity. With condensing heat recovery, gas use drops to around 410–430 Nm³/h.
SZL boilers handle auto-feeding, mechanical ash removal, and PLC control automatically. However, workers still need to manage the fuel yard and ash storage.
SZS gas/oil boilers are fully automated—they run on integrated burners and safety controls, needing just 1 operator per shift for basic monitoring.
SZL boilers cut fuel costs in areas with cheap biomass, but they take more daily labor and routine cleaning.
SZS boilers run cleaner and need less daily work; maintenance focuses mainly on the burner, safety valves, and water sensors.
It gives you a great balance of steam output and initial cost. It is easy to install, fits medium steam loads, and leaves room for future plant expansion.
A 6 ton model provides enough steam for most medium production lines without requiring heavy upfront capital. It also lets factories scale up in phases as demand grows.
It offers low financial risk, reasonable operating costs, and simple installation. To pick the right model, just match it to your peak steam demand, local fuel prices, and daily operating hours.
The concrete pad must support the boiler’s full operating weight and local seismic codes. You need at least 5–7 meters of vertical clearance for crane lifting. Solid-fuel models also require extra space for fuel storage and ash collection.
